Wood Polymer Composite

Often referred to as liquid wood.  Used when ever complex geometrical shapes with a wooden appearance are needed.  Castings for electronic devices, handles, furniture, outdoor ground surfaces, bio-urns, fashion accessories and building components for vehicle interiors.  In building interiors they are used for skirting boards and shelving systems.

  • For the production of WPC, waste materials and by-products from wood and agricultural industry, e.g. offcuts, sawdust, residues from board manufacturing, pulping sludge, can serve as a raw material.

  • Made of wood fibers, plastic matrix and various additives. The proportion of wood fiber is generally 50-90%. Processed using typical plastic processing techniques like injection molding, extrusion, compression molding and thermoforming. Maximum processing temp should not exceed 200 C.

  • Based on renewable materials, substitute for tropical woods in outdoor use, biodegradable if chemical free. an environmentally friendly alternative to neat plastics in several applications.

  • Thermoplastic, high degree of rigidity and flex, moisture resistance, stable, acoustic qualities.
