Mycelium

A fungal network of threadlike cells that is formed in the roots of mushrooms, and spreads in a web-like formation. It has incredible potential to replace conventional plastic and polystyrene foams.

  • Can be grown to fit whatever application it is needed for.

  • It is grown and formed directly into the shape that is needed. Insulation blocks, acoustic tiles for buildings, candles, herb planters, and traditional foam applications in cars. Any shape can be grown into a mold within a week. It may be used in skincare or packaging.

  • Fast growing, low water consumption, compostable – does not take anything out of the planet that cannot be put back. Doesn’t need input from petrochemical to grow

Inexpensive. Excellent alternative to plastic packaging. 100% sustainable. Carbon Neutral.

  • Similar to expanded plastic foam. Acoustic, thermal, shock absorbent, insulating and class 1 fire retardant.
