Lignia Wood

Modified lumber source made from a sustainable stock of fast-growing softwoods from FSC-managed plantations.

  • Processing begins with plantation-grown radiata pine (pinus radiata). Each batch takes 12-14 hours to produce including drying time. LIGNIA®, as we discussed, undergoes a resin-impregnation and heat curing treatment, providing the wood with durability to destructive outdoor elements and excellent dimensional stability. Accoya® is treated using a patented acetylation production process which provides the wood with improved durability against destructive elements like UV and water, as well as fungal attack.

  • It is made into a material with properties similar to hardwoods leading to a reduction in harvesting slow-growing hardwood trees. The wood is transformed into Accoya wood through an acetylation process. Wood siding, decking, windows and door, furniture, cabinets,.

  • Sustainably sourced, low lifetime carbon cost. Accoya actively contributes to a circular, bio-based economy. Fast growing and renewable.

  • Durable, stable, versatile, no visible swell, shrinking or distortion with minimal movement. Withstands climate. Similar durability to hardwoods like red oak. Hard maple and teak. Honey-brown color. Fungi resistance. Can be stained, varnished, painted. Lignia Fire has a greater fire retardant rating. Therma insulation.
